Biography

Born in 1968 in Maastricht (NL), Nathalie Brans is an artist who has a particular interest in astronomy maps.
She creates books, collages and installations. Every few years for a short period of time she works abroad as an artist in residence to explore new techniques. During her latest residency, at the Vermont Studio Center, she focused on ancient photography techniques that require sunlight to expose, such as Blue Print and Van Dyck Brown.
The residency in Vermont was financed by a crowdfunding project, personally set up by Nathalie Brans.
